I use these leaves 2 ways with my students. First, we discuss the difference between regular and irregular plurals. Then I have the students choose a leaf and determine if the plural form is regular or irregular. You can provide them with the plural form or the singular and have them generate the plural form themselves.
I also use it as a matching game by having the children match the singular and plural forms of the word.
This set includes 8 irregular plural pairs and 8 regular plural pairs. It also includes “sentence builders” to work on the concept of plurals. I simply have the students lay the singular form and plural form in their respective places on the sheet to help them understand if there is more than one of the item, It needs to be in it’s plural form.
