This little baby is perfect for your 1st-3rd classroom. Start it as a bulletin board, then create a class book with it when you are done.
This unit gives you up to 3 days of "more than one" practice and makes a great showcase of class learning.
If you are a homeschooler, then this packet could take you through 2 months of daily practice.
Please, be sure to download the preview: a picture is worth a 1,000 words.
You can also visit my blog and read a post with tons of pictures: Just click the link Plural Nouns: More Than One
Start using the booklet that teaches the 3 main rules for making words(nouns) plural or to mean more than one. (See the Preview)
Rule 1. add an s
Rule 2. add es
Rule 3. change the y to an i and add -es
The anchor poster that displays the 3 rules is very helpful. (See Preview)
Worksheet page reviews the 3 main rules.
Each child gets their own noun "poster" in which they change a singular noun into a plural noun (more than one) After writing the word in the plural form they need to circle the rule they used in order to make their word plural.
The 39 nouns included are:
base ten block(s)
District people who visit my classroom make a bee-line to this board every time. It is striking since every child has chosen a different word.
