Picture Sorting Cards
Introduce singular and plural nouns using pictures in color and black and white. Pictures cards come with just the picture, picture and word, and just the word. The images help ELLs understand the vocabulary that is used.
Vocabulary cards are included for both the singular and plural form of each word. The spelling patterns included are regular nouns -s, -es after words ending in x, z, ch, th, changing y to ies, changing f to v and adding -es, changing the vowel, collective nouns, always singular and always plural nouns, the 3 sounds of s (/s/, /z/, /iz/).
Student Sorting Cards
There are smaller sizes of sorting cards for student use. There are also worksheets with pictures or pictures and words for students to cut out and glue.
