Product Description
This is an easy to prep unit that helps reinforce making words plural by adding -es and -ies to words. It includes a lot of engaging activities to help your students understand making plurals by adding -es and -ies to base words.

Here is what is included in this set:

• Anchor Charts- one for adding –es and one for –ies
• Sorting cards and headings. There are a total of eighteen words- each with the word written in the singular then plural form. There are 3 options included for sorting. One option is singular and plural words that follow the –es rule. The next option is sorting singular and plural following the dropping the y and adding –ies. The last option is sorting the plural words made with -es and –ies.
• Four different recording sheets made to use with the cards. These cards could be used for introducing the lesson, as a memory game, in a literacy center for practice, or as a “Find My Match” game. Cards are passed out to the class and on a signal, they try to find their match. Mix the cards and play again!
• Printables for adding –es or-ies to make a word plural. There are 2 separate worksheets for each ending. One is a coloring by code and one is a cut and paste (4 total).
• Printables to practice mixed plural endings. Seven different activities to practice plurals with –es and –ies. There are more detailed instructions in that section.
• Plural ending Scoot game. This game may also be used as Write the Room activity or as picture cards for students to write the plural endings. A recording sheet is included. A differentiated recording sheet is also included. Students will circle the correct spelling of the plural word (for students who need extra support).
