Once students learn that a noun is a person, animal, place, thing, or idea it's time to teach them the difference between plural nouns and singular nouns. These picture-word cards are designed to fit pocket charts and will make an easy center when learning about nouns takes place in the classroom. Students sort the nouns into two groups - one for singular nouns and the second group for plural nouns. This free resource includes both a black and white and a color version. Once students are proficient with recognizing the difference between a singular and plural noun, the number word cards can be added. The students can insert the appropriate number word to the left of each noun.
