PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I created this simple center to give my students a little more practice with seeing the difference between plural and possessive nouns. Plural noun phrases describe more than one of something, such as "many cats". Possessive noun examples in phrases that contain nouns that own something, such as "Mom's sweater." As students are sorting the cards, they record the phrases on their recording sheet. This center involves little prep--just print the cards on cardstock, laminate, cut and make a class set of copies of the recording sheet. I had the students working in small groups of 5 for this activity, but they could also work in pairs or individually if you made enough sets. Great practice! Also check out my other plural vs. possessives sorting and practice worksheets!
