Through this communicative-experiential based lesson, students will learn the plus-que-parfait and conditionnel passé in context while exploring a popular rap song by the French artist Soprano. This engaging lesson not only creates an authentic and communicative basis for exploring new grammar, but also allows students to learn more deeply about past and current events mentioned in the song that have shaped the world. Finally, students are able to demonstrate their engagement with the song's central premise (as well as showcase their new understanding of the plus-que-parfait and the condionnel passé) through a creative mini-project!
Pre-learning required : Students must have an understanding of the passé composé as well as familiarity with Si clauses with the imparfait and conditionnel.
