I use this power point presentation to tell the story of Paco and how terrible his day is. I use the vocabulary from Realidades Ch. 3A.
Prior to showing the video my students have seen the power point on the vocabulary. Then I TPR the vocabulary with them. I introduce "tengo hambre" at this time. I TPR the story first and then I show them the slide show presentation of the story. At the end of the story students work with partners to answer the either/or questions or the yes/no questions. For my advanced students I give them questions that they have to answer about the story.
The entire lesson last about three days of 45 minutes class periods. The assessment is for my students to recreate the story on a cartoon strip.
