My Stories provides stand-alone lessons that combine original short stories with several reading comprehension activities.
"Pocket Watch" is a short story about the deeper meanings found in everyday objects. This pocket watch holds some special meaning and can be used to model writing about objects. After reading the short story, students complete a flipbook that staples next to the short story, creating a minibook when folded in half. The flipbook covers:
