Students will love reading and acting out Paul Fleischman's poem Honeybees. The first activity asks students to read and annotate the poem. Then they will answer questions about the poem and analyze author's use of tone and point of view. The other handouts provide students with a brainstorming sheet and graphic organizer to help them write their own poem for two voices with a partner. A rubric is provided for both the written poem and the performance or reciting of the final product.
