Product Description
Whilst studying and annotating poetry, it can sometimes be difficult for students to wrap their heads around how repetition and imagery have different sub-types.

This resource has two basic charts (fit to one A4 page) that explain how imagery can be achieved through a rang of language features (examples included), and how repetition is a poetic device that has breaks into sounds, and words, lines, and phrases.

I have my students stick in a copy of these charts before we begin annotations, and have them refer back to them regularly to consolidate their understanding of a range of language features.
