Description
I created this gallery walk graphic organizer packet to help my students engage with a variety of poems while collaborating. This packet can be used for independent work and/or partner work and includes vocabulary, figurative language, identification of sensory images, theme, and more. The study is aligned with Virginia SOLs (Standards of Learning) for ELA and CCSS (Common Core State Standards).
Several of my students said, "I don't like poetry," at the beginning of this unit, but they are changing their minds now!
UPDATED 3/14/20 to include a Google Drive version!
