PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This workbook is intended to be given to a KS3 class in order to work through a series of lessons focusing on the theme of 'journeys'. The poems covered in this scheme are: from Old English, 'The Wanderer'; from Middle English, 'The General Prologue'; from Shakespeare, 'All the World's a Stage'; and, finally, De La Mare's, 'The Listeners'

This resource is Lesson #2 and introduces students to the Old English poem, 'The Wanderer'. It looks at the notion of sorrow and the journey that we need to go on to overcome these feelings.

I will be bundling all of the lessons together into one big booklet - this is certainly how I have delivered the unit to my own class - but I know some people prefer to consider individual resources: hence listing it separately here.

I have been delivering this to my able Year 7 class - but I would imagine it would slot in at various stages of the KS3 curriculum.
