This 3 PAGE activity is a structured analysis of the poem "Leaves" by Marsha Hobart (war theme). The activity follows the TPCASTT method of poetry analysis, but the Connotations step uses an embedded Device-to-Meaning chart that helps focus students' analysis and scaffold understanding. I have also included a "Modified" version which has more scaffolding/support built in. This version is great for younger learners, Special Ed students or English Language Learners.
