Kids will have fun and learn important poetry terms at the same time. Inspired by classic BINGO, this game set covers all the terms needed to help students understand and analyze figurative language. With 40 individual cards, there is enough for the whole class and if laminated, can be used year after year. Use for traditional BINGO, 4 Corners, Black-Out and/or any other variation. Great Friday activity or for those long days when the kids need some fun and you need a break :)
When I play with my 8th graders, I start the first round as the 'caller.' The person that wins the round gets to take my place and be the caller and so on with subsequent winners. The kids love it and it gives me a bit of a breather because the class will run itself.
This game is ready to print. The card and pieces will need to be cut, but this does not take long if using a paper cutter. Factor in additional time for laminating, which is preferable, but optional.
Game Pieces Included:
40 Bingo Cards (Print Ready PDF File)
Bright, Multi-colored Chips
Poetry definitions that will act as the calling cards
Poetry chart to keep up with ‘called’ definitions
