This is the first week of my poetry bellringers to help your students practice identifying poetic devices, analyzing a poet’s purpose, and creating poems in a given style. Each bellringer uses an excerpt from a classic poem as a model to drive student engagement. You can also use these as task cards, exit slips, or test review. This resource includes two versions of a recording sheet.
