PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This poetry close read unit is a great way to incorporate poetry into your classroom throughout the year or celebrate National Poetry Month in April. There are currently 19 poems. Each poem is written on the left half of the page and on the right hand side are five questions pertaining to the poem. Nearly every poem has a question about stanzas and lines. The other three questions rotate between personification, similes, metaphors, synonyms, text connections and more. All of the poems in this unit are part of the public domain, so you can purchase this unit knowing that no copyright laws are being broken. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask BEFORE you purchase the unit. Take a peek at the preview for a closer look at a page in the unit.

I designed this product for and used it with my third graders, however it would work for any students in 3rd - 6th.

Thanks for the purchase and please leave me feedback and constructive criticism so I can make this product even better!

Thanks y'all!
