Teaching the poetry of Emily Dickinson? This lesson has everything you need to teach two of her most famous poems: Nobody and The Little Rose. I have created questions for these poems that foster symbolic thinking and also gets students to reflect on theme and tone. Additionally, I have a created a coloring sheet that includes elements of the poem that students can identify and discuss. A key for the questions is included along with common core standards for literacy.
I have also created a Google version of the reading questions for those who like going paperless. I have included a Getting Started with Google Apps/Google Classroom guide for those wanting to try it, but still have the print version to fall back on. This is a great way to show use of technology in your classroom. If you aren't interested in using Google, no worries, everything is printable!
