This generic form works with ANY piece of poetry. Provide students with a poem and have them identify sections that elicit a sensory response for them (seeing, hearing, etc.) Students are then asked to spot Figurative Language, Cadence/Rhythm, unique elements and finally designate a tone and mood for the poem. Allow students to work through the poem identifying elements and responding to the questions on the form. Share responses.
The questions on this form can easily modified to work with Actively Learn for interactive guided poetry response. Please see blog on this concept at: http://yoursmarticles.blogspot.com/2013/04/actively-learn-interpret-poetry-in.html
