This activity is loads of fun--and it's very challenging. Students are given a set of poems and questions. They have to match the question with the poem and identify the literary device and then analyze its use. All the poems are found on the Internet. If you do not have enough computers, merely print out and make copies of the poems. This lesson can be used independently or in conjunction with "Figurative Language Mini-Lecture," and/or "Figurative Language Writing Practice," and/or "Creativity and Figurative Language."
