    Description

    This bundle includes three different thought-provoking slideshows to explore poetry with your advanced or AP English Literature students. The slideshows are broken down by topic, being:

    • Figurative Language
    • Sound & Structure
    • Imagery, Tone & Other Elements
    • Rhyme Scheme & Meter (These notes were removed from the regular curriculum after the 2019 AP Lit course update, but they are included here for supplementary purposes!)

    Each slideshow contains references to many published poems and multiple mini-lessons for poem analysis and term identification. Handouts are included for student notes.

    This resource meets the following AP Lit Essential Skills, aligning with Poetry Unit 1 in the new AP Lit CED:

    CHR 1.A - Identify and describe what specific textual details reveal about a character, that character’s perspective, and that character’s motives.
