My students love listening to content rich, engaging read alouds. I constantly change our listen to reading books based on the holiday's and our theme subjects. These poetry stories always make it out into our Listen to Reading station in the spring during our poetry unit! These 11 printable QR codes are the perfect way to incorporate multiple pieces of literature into your classroom library.
All the QR codes are linked to a SafeShare video. Students will simply scan the code with a scanning device (iPod, iPad, or iPhone), press play, and listen to the read aloud.
I use these cards in my classroom and the kids love it! I laminate the cards, put them on a binder ring, and store them close to our listening devices.
These codes are awesome for any grade. My first graders use them every day with little to no direction. They are perfect for Listen to Reading during a Daily Five block.
The following stories are included in this pack. If you would like a specific read aloud added, please let me know!
-The Blue Wooden Horse
-I Am the Book
-A Pumpkin Full of Poems
-Summer: An Alphabet Acrostic
-Take Me Out of the Bathtub
-Red Sings from Treetops
-The New Kid on the Block
-Won Ton: A Cat Tale Told in Haiku
-Where the Sidewalk Ends
-Hailstones and Halibut Bones
The code links can become broken. If that happens, please let me know and I will fix them immediately! I also caution you on printing in color and laminating. With as often as the codes break, I don't want you to become frustrated with having to redownload : )
