Description

The CCSS Reading Literacy Standards ask students to read and respond to poetry.

This poetry reflection form can be used with any poem and addresses five of the reading literacy standards every time you read and reflect on a poem.
Grade 3: RL3.1, 3.2, 3.4, 3.6, 3.7
Grade 4: RL4.1, 4.2, 4.4, 4.6, 4.7
Grade 5: RL5.1, 5.2, 5.4, 5.6, 5.7

The standards addressed are color coded by grade level for ease in lesson planning. Also included is a chart of the reading literacy standards in PDF and MS Word editable formats so you can get your lesson plans written quickly and objectives posted easily. There is a blank form in MS Word that you can use to create response questions that go with any poem you choose.
