These Poetry Task Cards
are perfect for centers or to use with the poem of the week! Task cards give students the ability to choose which activities they want to complete while still focusing on the skills you want them to be working on. Task cards are also great for encouraging involvement with the text and they help create centers that are engaging and interactive.
Print on cardstock, laminate for durability, punch a single hole in the top left corner and secure with a book ring clip and you're good to go!
They can stay in a station or students can easily take them to their desks for seat work.
Poetry Task Card uses include:
Students can work on focus skills when visiting the poetry center. Keep the poem on sentence strips in a pocket chart and students can use highlighter tape or Wikki Stiks to complete the task cards. This makes your poetry center engaging and interactive and the kids love it!
