PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Using the toolkit: this bundle provides several activity options that can be used in the study of poetry. Use the activities to build a poetry study unit. Alternately, working a poem or two into other thematic units—as opposed to a stand-alone poetry study—can help take the emphasis off the study of poetry and more on the study of text, content, and textual features, as may be done with other texts (stories) in the unit. Thematic units can also encourage students to think broader than when just focusing on a single text, or even on a group of text, such as with poetry study.
