This 2-day unit includes the poem with vocabulary, GIST, Graphic Organizers for Sensory Imagery and Figurative Language, a guiding PPT and a link to a public and reusable Prezi of the poem. Everything you need to teach your students the basic of annotation is here with several options for culminating assessments and student choice. Through these two lessons, your students will work as partners, in a small group, and individually to analyze this poem. They WILL think critically during these lessons!
