Get your students writing their own poetry with these Poetry Writing Activities! These no-prep Poetry Writing Activities are easy enough to implement with high school students of any skill level but provide opportunities for advanced students to challenge themselves.

Each activity includes a suggested teacher lesson plan; a slideshow presentation with important literary terms, examples, and directions; and student worksheets. All Poetry Writing Activities include printable and digital versions of student worksheets, with the exception of the Black Out and Found Poetry, which are meant to be hands-on.
