Use this as a way to assess poetry devices. Have each student write three different poems using alliteration, simile, and metaphors. With each poem, they turn in a ticket that exam each device. I printed out the golden ticket on yellow paper and randomly gave it to a group (I had them work in pairs but fill out their own tickets). That group could complete the golden ticket and only two regular tickets. The RAFT ticket was used for the advanced group of poetry writers and those who were musically inclined. I told the kids that they were “randomly” selected to spice things up. I gave them the option to perform.
