PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Teach students poetic devices/figurative language through poetry and art.
Objectives: Students will identify seven poetic devices: simile, metaphor, personification, alliteration, onomatopoeia, hyperbole, and rhyme scheme. Students will write an essay comparing and contrasting prose and poetry writing. Students will implement poetic devices in an original poem about a season. Students will create an abstract water color painting depicting the season of their poem.
