Here is a fun way to reinforce important vocabulary terms for poetry and literature. Students do a meaningful art project and use samples from their reading to help them remember these important vocabulary terms.
What you get:
Template of 8 different Trading Cards. Print out as many as you need, I use card stock because it is sturdier and easier to work with. Print first, then cut on the lines to separate.
Student instruction handout. The instructions have check-boxes for the literary terms you want covered. The teacher can choose which to assign.
List of literary terms and definitions for student reference.
More uses for Trading Cards:
Character analysis : students draw the character and list attributes with proof from the text on the back.
Other important vocabulary/concepts: draw the concept, explain on the back.
Genre identification: picture of literary genre on front, examples of books on the back
Parts of Speech: picture on front, definition and examples on the back
