I’m changing up my reward plan this year. I’m going to award a point (or not) in each of the following categories: Entering the room, Listening, Overall class effort, and Lining up. Once a class has earned 30 points, they will have a reward day, when they will do a musical activity that we don’t usually do. This will be similar to the PE teacher’s plan, who also awards a free day after 30 points.
I like the idea of having a page to write the points on: I’m going to print some of these off and put them in sheet protectors, and use dry erase markers on them. I have also included a blank template, if you would like one without clip art. When the classroom teacher comes to pick up the class, it will be easy to show them the number of points their class has earned.
In case it is helpful, I have also included a page to keep track of points for your classes (one class per page), assuming you go to 30 points before you reward. Just copy as many as you need. If you need a different number, contact me at
