In the Common Core Standards, Anchor 6 is rather difficult to figure out in the sense that it seems a little vague. Understanding the basic point of view is the first step, which is what the first organizer establishes. Students use a flow chart to determine the point of view first. Next, students explain how they determined the point of view. The next level of understanding is what the Point of View 2.0 organizer helps establish. The real goal is to help a student understand how the author creates perspective through that character and reveals that point of view to the reader. I hope this helps you scaffold your instruction!
