Have students practice writing in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person points of view. Have students select a picture from a magazine or have them already cut out for them to take. Then, students make up stories for the image using the different points of view.
I encouraged students to write a different story for each point of view and also to choose an unexpected person in the image to write as.
Ex: For an image of a basketball player, a student wrote from the point of view of a teammate and then of the someone on the opposing team.
I had them glue the image and write the stories in the interactive notebooks.
