I’ve designed this to show students how our Point of View, affects our Perspective, which changes our Purpose for writing fueled by Opinion/Bias and how that is related to the Media/Agenda and also to Propaganda. It wraps several standards into one activity. Included below are the templates for the Teacher Chain with definitions on them, and also the STUDENT chain, where they will fill in definitions and draw/write their own examples. This was POWERFUL! My students loved seeing how everything came back to Perspective/Point of View. The physical creation of the chain was a very strong scaffold for their learning. It was purposeful and we used real-world examples to drive this inquiry based learning home.
