Product Description
This is a point of view flow chart that I used with my 5th grade students. Point of view is now a 4th grade standard, but this could be used for any grade including high school to help students understand the difference between 1st and 3rd point of view. I included 2 charts and they can be printed in black and white.

How it works

1. I copy pieces of text or choose parts from novels and model how it works first. (Day 1)
2. Students do this as well in small groups. The text is from 3-4 different novels and students read the text aloud and determine the point of view in their group by answering the questions of the flowchart. (Day 2)
3. Students present their findings to the class. (Day 2)

I hope you can use this!
