Here is an interactive and engaging activity to teach point of view and perspective. Included are definitions, examples, foldable for students with directions, writing assignments, and an interesting "HOOK" to get students interested in learning the different types of point of view (excluding 2nd person) and perspective. My students - even in 8th grade!!! - are highly motivated when they are told to get out scissors and colored pencils!!! There are a total of 21 slides with a 7-page foldable. Examples of the different types of point of view are included - 1st person, 3rd person limited, 3rd person objective, and 3rd person omniscient. Also discussed is what happens to perspective when the point of view is changed. Students will enjoy drawing and writing about Super Sam, Editor Eddie, Dreamy Debbie, and Iggy the Ice Cream Man.
