Every student deserves the opportunity to TRY AGAIN. So, in my classroom we use a points back system. The instructions are simple:
a. If you miss one question or all of the questions on an exit ticket/quiz/exam, you have the opportunity to earn those points back.
b. You had to have actually attempted the problem on the original assignment.
To Earn Complete Points Back, Students Must:
1. Complete the steps in each column (Correct the problem AND explain mistakes. The explanation must show that the student now understands the problem.)
2. Staple the Original Assignment to the FRONT of the sheet.
3. Turn-in within ONE WEEK of the Original Assessment’s Return.
