Description

Geometry constructions, Algebra and a project all in one lesson! Teaching students to draw the special segments in a triangle (medians, altitudes, perpendicular bisectors and angle bisectors) and finding the points of concurrency can be difficult. This hands-on discovery lesson will take your students through each segment while teaching them some constructions as well as refreshing some important Algebraic skills. The student will also learn about special attributes of each type of point of concurrency. This geometry lesson has a ton of algebra review in it including finding slopes, midpoints, distances and solving systems. Also included is constructing angle bisectors using a compass and a project.
