Study guide questions are divided up by sections (approximately 20 pages). Most all 223 questions reference direct quotes or passages from the novel and reference specific page numbers. The question stems connect to understanding content, literary analysis prompts, and reference figurative language strategies.
*Page numbers reflect both soft and hard cover editions.
Questions reflect close reading for the following skills: figurative language, imagery, diction, details, and syntax.
Questions are fully editable and designed to be used in small or large group discussion.

4. Journals: There are 10 journal prompts that can be used with flexibility throughout the unit.
5. Unit Test
There is a short and long answer essay test. There is also a test review sheet.
There are two sample essay assignments that can be used for this unit. One is an academic thematic essay and the other is a multi-source research persuasive essay. There is a persuasive rubric included.
