The Pokemon invaded the field and it's up to your students to catch them! The Pokemon have grouped themselves in groups of 2 or 3 and students are given a secret rhythm.
Students will see two groups of Pokemon with name below (just in case you don't know them!) on the powerpoint and see the rhythm above the groups. They will then try to line up the syllables of the Pokemon with the rhythm above and find a match. Once matched, lock in their answer, advance to the next slide, and the Pokeball will appear!
I play this game boys v. girls and cut out a Pokeball for each of them. They have to decipher the rhythm by saying it to themselves, them running to the whiteboard to place it on the correct Pokemon. Very competitive and the kids LOVE it! :)
You get 10 different rhythm examples with 20 groups of Pokemon (just remember, only 10 of them are the correct ones)
Also included are the Pokemon clip art used in the lesson so you can make your own if you'd like!
Any questions or comments, please leave them below! Hope you and your kids enjoy!
