It's the hot new fad! Pokemon Go!
Student Project Description: Mom and Dad want you to draw a map of your Pokemon Adventures this summer. Which Poke Stops are you going to on your bike? Which gym(s) do you capture on a regular basis? You decide to draw a map of your neighborhood showing all the Pokemon attractions locally to explain the game and how it works. Each student or group of students will create a map of a neighborhood (real or pretend) showing the location of at least 3 Poke Stops, a Poke Gym, and the location of 3 nearby wild Pokemon.
Objectives: Students will create a map while demonstrating understanding all essential parts of a map: scale, key/legend, title, and compass rose. Students will show understanding of application scale, compass rose, and relative v. absolute location.
