Alphabet Game: Pokémon Catch
one set of lower case letters & one set of upper case letters are included
Students will love practicing their letter names or letter sounds with this interactive game. Print and laminate the Pokémon cards, lay them out on a table (you choose how many to lay out at a time) and have students take turns saying the letter sound or letter name on the cards. Give each player a Poke Ball card. The adult (or students can take turns) calls out a letter name or sound, and the students “catch” it by placing a Poke Ball on it.
To add to the fun, place a Velcro strip on a fly swatter (glue the Poke Ball card on top) and small Velcro dots on each Pokémon letter card. Students take turns catching the Pokémon and saying the letter name or sound on the Pokémon they catch.
This activity is great for literacy centers and small group instruction.
