Poking is a great fine motor activity for students! And it's really easy to set up. Students are given a cork board and push pin (or you can have them poke on the carpet, Styrofoam container or another semi-soft surface). They choose a picture and, using the push pin, poke out the outline. Once completed, you will get the poke out as well as the paper outline. I like to have students glue these to a piece of construction paper, double sided, so that you can see their work.
Students love taking their time working on this! It strengthens fine motor skills as well.
