Let your students be explorers in their own Polar Animal Research Expedition.
This product includes research reports for eight different polar animals: polar bear, arctic hare, puffin, seal, beluga whale, walrus, penguin, and arctic fox.
Each of these eight reports are laid out in a similar style, yet are individual and unique. Each animal report is formatted specifically for that animal with pertinent questions and clipart. There are questions that require students to research specific details AND others that require students to find text-based evidence. The questions have been created so that MANY different resources could be used ... nonfiction books, websites, online encyclopedias, and PebbleGo.
Each report comes in two formats: single lines and primary lines. Single line reports are two pages and print perfectly front to back, and primary line reports are four pages long. Single line and primary line reports are EXACT in questions and format. The two report formats simply give you choices. Some of your little ones still need the primary lines as their handwriting roadmap; others don’t!
This project is PERFECT for differentiating learning or center work! Assign each student a file folder. Glue the cover on the front and the Scrapbook Page on the inside left. Students can choose the animal that they are most interested in researching, and once they are complete, they add that report to their folder! Color in the completed animal on the Scrapbook Page and choose another animal. Challenge students to see how many that they can complete!
