This is a great note taking lesson to teach about animals in polar habitats. Research question boxes are: Basic Facts, Habitat, Food, Life Cycle, and Fun Facts.

A polar habitat note taking sheet is also provided. This can be used as a sample activity to introduce your students to research and the polar environment.
Students can be assigned different animals to research or each habitat can be studied in a whole group setting if preferred. Note taking sheets are fill-in-the-blank sentences to make it easier for students to choose the important words to answer research questions.
Students should use online databases such as PebbleGo, online encyclopedias, ebooks or regular books to find the answers to the research boxes. A source box is also included for students to indicate the type and title of the source used.
