Target /d/, /p/, /h/, and /w/ with 76 flashcards in the initial, medial, and final positions in a fun activity to help students determine where their sound is located! (One sheet of blank cards is also included.)
To prepare: Laminate the polar bear and cut apart into 3 pieces for beginning, middle, and end. (These cards will be laid out on the table or attached to tap lights.) Laminate and cut apart the sound picture cards.
To play: The intent of this activity is to allow the student to determine where they hear their sound in the word (beginning, middle, end), so they select a card and decide where the targeted sound is located. Students then touch the polar bear corresponding to where they hear their sound.
*For added effect, use “tap lights” and attach the polar bear parts to the lights for students to indicate where they hear their sound.
