I created these math centers to keep my first graders engaged and on task during the holiday season. They fully align with common core standards for first and second grades.
There are 5 independent centers included in this unit:
1. Odd or Even - Elves
students match gifts with the correct elf.....anchor charts and 2 types of game cards included for easy differentiation
2. Counting on the Number Train - Polar Express
Students practice counting by tens, fives, or twos to complete a train... lots of options for practicing counting. Three different follow-up recording sheets are also included
3. Holiday Story Problems - Santa , Elves, Gingerbread Baby
Students solve addition and subtraction story problems. These are great for using on your white board (guided instruction) or for use when creating a class book. Cover and blank templates also included
4. Greater Than, Less Than, or Equal To - Candy Canes and Mints
This game focuses on place value (tens and ones). Students count, record, and compare two-digit numbers on visually appealing cards. Recording sheet also included
5. The Gingerbread House - Data and Graphing
Students collect, sort, and analyze candy data. They then create a gingerbread house to match the data they collected.
Thanks for checking it out!
