Use this "Where are you?" chart in your classroom to know where all your students are at a glance.
This can be made into a clipchart with clothespins for each student or used on a magnetic whiteboard with magnets for each student. You can write in your own locations in the last two spots if you wish.
At the beginning of each day, students start on “We’re Here!” You can assign a student to move any absent students into the "absent" square. Throughout the day, each time a student leaves the room they move their clothespin or magnet to the appropriate location. When they return, they move back to “We’re Here!” This way you can easily keep track of where students are at all times!
I have included the following locations on the chart: We’re Here!, Absent, Bathroom/Water Fountain, Nurse, Office, Speech, OT/PT, Library, Computer Lab, Gifted Program, Resource, and two empty spaces where you can write in teacher names or other locations.
To assemble, simply print on cardstock, tape together on the back, and laminate!
