Pollen granules from flowers are very distinctive under the microscope. The procedure for preparing microscope slides using a taping method is completely described (the slides are dry and are easier to prepare than wet mounts). There are two levels of graphic notes provided to help build student understanding on this topic and there are also images of example pollen slides included so that students will have an idea of what to look for with their own slides. A blank template for students to draw their microscopic diagrams is included.
