Do you need help teaching your students how to categorize polygons?Use these sheets to help kids compare polygons and to help meet this standard:
.3.G.A.1Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals.
Kids will need to write the name of the shapes and fill out the table. See the answer sheets.
You can use these sheets as a pretest, practice, daily math, and as a post test. I have in-cluded some vocabulary “word wall” posters to help your students learn to spell the shape names correctly.
